Anyone got anything new on the HMG Sturmgewehr? Do you guys think if this goes well that recreations of famous/historically significant firearms not original from the US might become more of a thing? Not parts kit guns, rather completely new rifles using new technologies but that function the same?

Don't know anything more than what Ian told us in his videos but I'm hype as fuck for an original configuration 8mm kurz STG. As a Jew it's the ultimate way for me to sew butthurt among my liberal acquaintances.

The new STG is going to be pretty much THE STG, with very minor changes made to make the production cost less and to make the gun more reliable and affordable.
Sure it takes STANAG and can take more calibres than the 8kurtz but that's not what the gun is about.
PSL is still an AK. Saiga is still an AK, the HMG stg is still an stg, more than saiga and PSL are AK.

Do you know if the 7.62x39 version STG will be able to take AK mags?
I have never shot
SIG made a SIG 550 prototype in 7.62, but it's a rotating bolt. What I like is that the buffer and recoil spring don't go all the way into the stock like in Colt AR15 types. That way you can use one that folds away.
Changes I would like made for rifles with that stock designed for old style "right on the receiver" iron sights is a stock that helps with recoil management, designed for mounted optics, directing more force straight back. Personal preference, I guess. Add rails for the gunsight of choice.
The SKS is a tilt locking bolt, yes?
What about anything AK related? The AK has a rotating locking bolt, but that piston looks suspiciously similar.

I have a 39 version on pre order and I spoke with the company owner on the phone... No it won't, The gun is Stanag magwelled, All guns will use the same mag, They mod the 39, and kurz versions with spacers so that those rounds will fit in the same mag tube.
You can use if you want to the 7.62X39 AR 15 mags
Actually this is a good thing as the AK mags will kill the look of the gun and for me I want the legit look but with ammo that is affordable and 7.62X39 is very close to me to 8mm kurz
