I thought hard about buying an sks.
Then i gravitated towards a vz2008.
Then i decided to buy an wasr 10.
I cant find a decent sks for less than $350. Why not spend another $250 and get an ak?

Too much man, too much. Our currency has depreciated into literal monopoly money, and our pants-on-head retarded gun laws make all of the cheap, reliable rifles like the AK unobtainable. Fully-automatic weapons are banned here, and semi-auto weapons are required to have their magazines pinned at 5-rounds (although there are some really silly loopholes you can exploit to get 15 rounds out of some guns legally).
OP, for a few more beaver-pesos you can get yourself a mauser, although the ammo is more expensive, the rifle itself is a much higher quality.
If it's still good enough for Novarossia fags in the Ukraine, in 2014-15, it's good for anyone else.
It's simple, robust, and even anti-funs don't usually mind it because it looks so "oldschool".
