When I first got my PTR, I tried to disassemble the trigger group, and popped the pins in the wrong order, causing all the springs to shoot out all over my room, and spent the next hour combing through my carpet to find them.
I also forgot to replace the cocking lever spring, which prevented the bolt from cycling properly, causing dozens of failures to feed on one of my first trips to the range with it.
Almost put a 7.62x39 into my ceiling but luckily got a light primer strike. Was a wake up for sure.

Mom sat on that info for a few days and tried not to tell me because 'she didn't want to ruin Christmas for me' but she couldn't hold it in and ended up calling me in tears and breaking down.
Yeah, I feel sad about the cat because I had her forver and she was a good buddy. But fuck, if it wasn't the worst timing. I'm half way around the country visiting my father and my single mother (I'm the only child) is about to lose the only thing that's kept her grounded since I've been to college.
Shit is rough to think about, especially since I have to guide her towards putting the cat down for its own good. We can't afford stupid expensive treatments.

With the help of an undercover detective I lied to people, specifically poor black people, about a gun amnesty program knowing full well they would end up getting arrested. That same detective had caught me trying to sell him a gun I had found by some train tracks, I was basically homeless at the time and totally at his mercy.
