You're the only ones who will understand my dilemma, /k/.
I want an HK USP (full size only, I hate compact guns). I love everything about the gun. But I can't decide what caliber I want.
The logic in me tells me 9mm because it's cheaper to shoot but my dick and my heart tell me to get the .45 because that's the way the USP was meant to be. Also the mag capacity difference is only 3 rounds!
This will be for home defense (and CC if I can pull it off but please don't make this a thread about whether or not I can conceal it, let me handle that).
>>28282191
dunno, do you already have guns in either of those calibers
Go with the 45 (either the USP or the HK45) and get the VP9 for 9mm.
45 for USP and just get a p2k in 9
now ur hk collection is complete
>>28282203
>VP9
>Not a P30
Stay pleb.
>>28282199
Yes I should probably have said, sorry. I have a Glock 30SF right now. That's it. It's a .45 and I fucking hate it because it's small.
>>28282191
USP Tactical/Mk23 or go home
>>28282216
>>28282203
>>28282228
Not bad. Maybe I need a USP .45 and a P30. Shit's expensive yo.
>>28282246
>>28282228
The HK45/VP9 combo is the cheaper option.
The USP/P30 combo is the superior tier but you're going to be damn near $2k lighter.
>>28282191
It was originally designed for .45, but it's not like it's any less reliable with 9mm. Stopping power/pistol cartridge effectiveness pissing match aside, 9mm is significantly cheaper to shoot so I'd go that personally
Also, you aren't going to be able to conceal it. Love my USP 9, but even when I was 50lbs overweight I couldn't manage it
I traded a gun worth $180 for a USP .45 Tactical in extremely good condition.
blow me.
>>28282191
>that's the way the USP was meant to be
The Mk 23 was designed for .45, the USP was designed for .40, hence the ridiculous durability on the 9mm version.
>>28282246
p2k is like 50 dollars more than a g19, was an improvement over the usp, however you cannot change the trigger systems.
I'll be picking one up right after new years, and will most likely be picking up an HK45 or USPs in 45 once I get the $$
>>28282292
Yeah I know, but something about the USP in .45 just feels so right.
>>28282281
I have concealed similar-sized guns. I'm not worried about it.
>>28282191
Do you want a .45 or a 9mm? If you're dead set on the USP then that's the question you should be asking. They're both very viable rounds for carry and home defense and at this point it's just a .45 clown caliber vs lolonly9mm thread. The USP is a fucking great gun anyways.
Do you want a slightly bigger punch and compatibility with the gun you already have, or three more rounds in the mag?
>>28282389
Yeah. I am heavily considering a P30 as well but I actually don't like the changeable backstraps, larger mag release, or ambi safety on the "s" models. What I like about them though is the pic rail, the metal mags, and the ability to buy +5 floorplates for the P30 mags.
I have the USP Tactical in 9mm. Easily my favorite handgun for the last 5 years. Significantly less felt recoil than a Glock 19 Gen 4.
>>28282230
hmmm. well do you want diversity in calibers or uniformity? i think the usp in 45 would make more sense, it seems like too big of a pistol for a 9mm
>>28282191
If it matters, I recently bought a VP9 and love it. Feels great, and the paddle release is really comfortable.
I have no opinion of the USP.
>>28283068
my opinion is that the USP is built to be a reliable tank, which the vp9 is not
>>28283068
watch MAC's recent video. It's shit
>>28282191
Technically the USP was made for .40
>>28283581
it isn't a shit gun, just not as reliable as.... everything in the price range
>>28283670
This. To add, a usp is pretty much the only .40 you should ever get
>45 because that's the way the USP was meant to be
but that's wrong.
Do the 9mm USP. The USP in .45 jumps quite a bit and is a little too large in the grip.
>>28282281
>usp
>orginally designed for .45
>stopping power
>>28282191
USP.45
Get a steel baby deagle in 9mm.
Acquire FN Five-Seven.
>>28282191
Hk45T if you wanting the one end all bad ass but personally got usp9sd it's amazing since shoot loud mostly . Expensive but Gurrenteed to exceed your expectations. Amazing engineering
>>28282191
>I want an HK USP (full size only, I hate compact guns). I love everything about the gun.
Apparently you've never held it.
>>28282203
Cool your jets kiddo.
Looking back I should have got a 9mm.
Would this thread have gone any differently if OP was looking at the USP Compact?
>>28284296
>someone's opinion is different than mine, they must be wrong
Apparently you haven't. I have held it several different times, both the 9mm and .45. It is more comfortable than any other gun I've held or shot to include 1911s, P30s, Berettas, Glocks, Sigs, FNs, XDs and lots of others. I'm not 12 like everyone else in this board. Stop acting like you're cool or have any idea what I think is comfy. The USP is the most comfortable handgun I've ever held in my hands.

Do you guys even fucking read a thread before posting? See >>28282292 and >>28282365.
>>28284673
Sure thing retard.
Feel them both and see which fits your hand better. Both are great options. Both run what you want. Only one will fit better.
I went with a USP9 Expert, and it was the best decision I've ever made... about polymer handguns.
Just got this from gun broker
>>28284746
Quality post.
>>28282281
>Originally designed for .45.
.40, but close enough
>>28285710
FUCKING READ THE THREAD BEFORE YOU POST HOLY SHIT
>>28282191
.45 is so smooth out of USP its be stupid not to
you can get 9mms in lots of different guns that are equally as smooth but something about a USP .45 just feels right
of go for the 9mm or hell eve a .40, a USP is all around a good deal
>>28282228
Not him, but everyone says the trigger on the P30 is hard to get used to and generally shit compared to the VP9 trigger.
Honestly I think the P30 is way sexier, but a shit trigger is hard to live with.
