Bolt action gun you want doesn't come with iron sights.

just putting this out there, but most modern bolt actions are designed around having optics now,

>on topic i am really annoyed with leaf sights, first gun i ever fired was ghost ring sights, and even with practice i can get leaf sights down.

Agreed. Irons were extremely common up until the 90s or so, and then they've just disappeared entirely from bolt actions entirely

CZ still makes great rifles that come with irons.

You are my long lost brother.

True but you need to remove the foresight to mount a scope low and they shoot better with a long can as it dampens the flick caused by barrel harmonics and the extra mass .

>Using irons on a non-milsurp boltgun

Why would you do this?

Literally for what purpose

In a country where we could buy a belt fed semi auto or a double barrel 1911, why not?
>>
>>28283628
True enough

If you're good with machining you could design and build one yourself, or see if a gunsmith would make one

Opposite to you man, grew up shooting leaf sights. Just mausers and old brumo 22s. Got a ghost ring rifle now. Tfw one year later still dunno.

I just bought a Ruger gunsite scout .308. It's nice. I can't wait to go zero in the Burris long eye relief scope and do some plinking.

Probably going to be spending all his money on the gun itself and wants to be able to shoot it before he can afford the glass...

This. More manufacturers need to at least give you the option...not all bolt actions are used as target or once-a-year hunting rifles.

So buy a different sako? They have shit tons of them with iron sights.

Other than that just build the rifle you want instead if it's that fucking important, that's what I'm doing.

7x57 M70 XTR to look like this, minus the scope. Was going to go the custom made route but didn't want to swing $7k for a rifle that is mainly just to scratch an itch.
