How is DayZ and Arma 2 bland? Have you tried Arma 2 Epoc? Overwatch?
Arma 2 Vanilla DayZ is quite fun too. Weapons are scarce as fuck. Epoc and Overwatch weapons are common as diamonds.

Arma3 is still a buggy piece of shit though. I'm never able to use my save files when I use any mods and even in pure vanilla the game just glitches out and won't allow you to progress. I love arma, but damn this game is pitiful. I spend more time trying to verify that my files are all correct and in place than I do playing actually playing.
If BI would just clean this shit up and make it more compatible, then hands down it'd be my favorite game.

Using the real name for things costs money and they need to get permission from the manufacturer. They didnt include any A2 content too because of that. BUT if modders bring over real-world gear on their own then BI doesnt have to pay for anything.

The ammo's basic function is fucked against vanilla armor tho. the older rounds lack enough penetration to punch through the armor ratings. Like m118 is about 4 rounds to a mk2 vest or a carrier rig.
and the vanilla weapons weights are fucked. like a naked mk14 is about 9 Kg. the mar 12 is 14 kg.

I hope someone on here can quickly tell you the keys, there's a way to easily change stance with like Shift + direction I think. Lots of stuff that comes in handy.

Suppressors increase the muzzle velocity a bit in the game so the POI shifts up above where you're zero is since all zeros are for the standard muzzle.
Also there's an element of circular dispersion which seems a bit exaggerated at range on a lot of weapons in Arma

Rifles and pistols only spawning in houses, flashbangs and smoke grenades, umps and mp5ks spawn in police stations, AKM's, 74s, sks's and other grenades spawn in military camps, m4's, svds, ak 101s, augs, and the vss vintorez spawn in heli crashes. Loot does respawn now, if I recall correctly.

Not anymore, it's central loot economy now, which means items have a numerus closus (certain amount, no more or less) per servers, bsicly if you pick up an AKM somewhere, in another town another will spawn likely.
