What are the chances of finding and purchasing a Russian made SKS in Canada?
I really want a Russian SKS, but I have read reviews on online gun stores and most people end up with a Chinese or yugo SKS

That is the case in the U.S. Yugos are actually relatively rare here, I've never seen one.

Bought mine from cabelas, 1955 russian SKS, great condition, go for it.

Mine (1950 Tula) "clicks" back and forth a few millimetres in the stock, which is infuriating, since this was the first gun I ever bought. How do I fix this, just buy another stock?

Not really. There might be a problem with the the screws holding it into the stock as well. I'm not an sks expert though

see that big metal circle on the stock? when you drop out the barrel/receiver assembly, you need to put cut aluminum cans in front of it inside the wood. or just tighten the screws down like youre supposed to, not like a pussy.
