.357 out of an 8" barrel maybe, but not a 6" barrel. Anything with less than 900 ft lbs of energy is going to perform like shit for quickly stopping someone as that's the point where you can get bullets to fragment and still penetrate far enough like a rifle round, before that point you just get more recoil and a tiny bit more expansion.
