You can only choose 1 handgun to survive the apocalypse

>no spare parts
>no extra mags (only 1 standard magazines that were designed specifically for your pistol. Ex; no 33rd mag for G19)
>no after market mods

This gun will get wet, muddy, Sandy, and dropped several times.

What do you choose?

This, or any other wheel gun. Yeah it has a much smaller capacity than say a double stack 9mm, but it has less moving parts and easier cleanup. You could have a moon clip too for quick reloads. That really wouldn't count as a modification.

Good caliber choice I guess. I was thinking going with a 357 magnum revolver, 6 inch barrel. If I understand it right, 357 is a good caliber, and can also fire .38 special rounds.

So it gives me an extra chance for ammo. The big thing for me is that very little can wrong with the gun that cant be fixed very quickly
>>
Most likely a polymer pistol in 9mm.

Cops and military will have a lot of ammo. The polymer pistols are durable and can go to hell and back and generally keep running even with minimal maintenance. They're light enough but can still have more than 15 rounds on tap.

Did the baretta pistols fare well for the military in terms of reliability? What do other active militaries use?
>>
>>28093045

Barrel under 16 inches and no stock or second grip.

Stupid because 16 inches ok but 15 99/100 inches is a pistol you violated law boy!
>>
>>28092855

Medusa 47 was specifically designed for this weird ass scenario. Revolver reliability, Fires dozens of different kinds of ammo so whatever you can scrounge, you can use.

A revolver in .327 federal magnum.

That's five flavors of .32 I can feed.

In theory only. When was the last time you saw a box of .32smith short? Its basically .32h&r mag, which is rare as is, or .327fed, which is also rare as is.

a .357 revolver

if I only one goddamn mag, I'd rather have a cylinder instead. faster to reload that than to remove the mag and load it.
>>
>>28092855
>This gun will get wet, muddy, Sandy, and dropped several times.
why? because the world is ending, I suddenly become a slot that can't keep a grip on my gun?
and what happened to all my mags? what the fuck am I going to do with 1 magazine?

I'll go with an m9a3.

I'm with you on this.
And I don't even own a glock. Just my cz p01.
>>
Gotta agree with the revolver, but not the caliber. I'd personally try for a .45LC instead, because there are still bound to he hunting nuts that are out there that used the ammo in their rifles making it slightly less scarce than a .357.
>>
>>28092855
Some sort of revolver probably. Unless you let it rust so bad the cylinder will physically not turn, it should keep working. Right?

With those autistic requirements, a revolver is the only option as only having one detachable magazine would be a liability (also there aren't any rules against speedloaders). How about a Ruger GP100 in .357 mag. Either that or start calling yourself the Road Warrior and carry a sawed off double barrel 12 gauge.

Since I'm not this guy, GP100 seems like a good choice. Tough, easy to work on especially compared to similar models and useful for hunting. Ammo is a little heavy, but pretty common. Glock 20 would probably be my second choice.

Am I expecting to go inna woods and live for years off what i can hunt with a pistol? My Mkll (I can make replacement parts in an automotive garage, and find ammo)
Is it more of a battle royal thing? I think my walther pps is the only pistol I own that would stand a chance. (I want my rifles...)
