>SKS
Cheap ammunition, readily available parts, and a wealth of information on them. They are pretty common though, so you wont turn any heads. May show poorfaginess.
>Vz. 52
You get to be a special snowflake. You also get a gun with nonexistent commercial ammunition in an obscure caliber. You're going to have more difficulty finding replacement parts as well. It's a pretty neat piece though

Buffalo and ppu makes x45 every so often
Can someone tell me how the fn model 1949 isn't a blatant copy of the sks?
>>28091803
NON EXISTENT
>>28092150
It was designed before World War 2, but not actually put into production due to the plans and blueprints being hidden from the Germans when they invaded Belgium and the FN Arms Factory.

Have you looked at one lately?

NON...EXISTENT...

So is the sks secretly a copy of the model 1949, or is it just a case of there being only so many ways to build a rifle?

>FN 49 designed before the war, but hidden from the Nazis and not produced until after
>SKS designed 1943, prior to public introduction of the FN 49
Considering that the Nazis didn't know about the FN 49 and they were occupying Belgium, it's unlikely the soviets did. I think it's a case of convergent evolution.
