Would it be illegal to create a device that fits into an AR 15's trigger guard designed to push the trigger with a solenoid. If I created this with a NO (normally open) push button switch and set it to push the trigger in time with the cycling would I be legal?
TL, DR is it "legal" to rig up electronics to rapidly pull the trigger for me?
>>
>>28078512
Just like open bolt semi-autos are no longer kosher due to the ease they can be converted to full-auto, ATF tech branch has said the same about electronic trigger systems.
>>
>>28078512
obviously not
>>
>>28078512
add a double trigger and fan the trigger like a paintball gun
>>
>>28078512
>do it
>don't tell anyone
>have fun
>fuck the atf

Seriously who gives a shit

You anus as you are no longer able to hold poo as you keep getting raped in prison.

They only ruled that the mac 10/11 and tec9 were considered easily convertible in open bolt configuration.
>>
>>28078532
Well what would be a reasonable excuse for the sound of "rapid fire" coming from my property?
>>
>>28078529
Would it be one of the situations where it is legal unless it is installed on the gun? like a pistol upper being in the same safe as a rifle lower
>>
>>28078690
multiple guns and/or a gatling style trigger.

Electronic triggers are no go.
>>
bumpstocks are legal, why wouldnt a device like this be legal?
>>
Damnit this fucker already made one and it is way cleaner than the shit I was going to make.http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/10/foghorn/coming-soon-electronic-ar-15-trigger/
>>
OP, go read the laws and regulations first and then come back and ask the question with relevant links to what you want to do. ...or you could fuck off and die in a fire.
>>

>TL, DR is it "legal" to rig up electronics to rapidly pull the trigger for me?
No, this is why you dont see electronic triggers outside of bolt guns.
>>
mate, just use a gatling trigger and gear ratios.
>>
>>28079771
You are asking a lot of me. I can either fuck off or go die in a fire but not both. Also see the link above your comment.

Just buy a "Drop In Auto Sear" or a "Lightning Link". You can probably make one just for a research project to look at and not to drop into your rifle receiver.
>>
>>28080803
You can own an ar or an auto sear but if you have both the atf will shoot your dog

Oh well gee I guess I'm just blind to all the open bolt semi-auto guns on the market then
>>
>>28080803
nice try Mr. ATF like I said this post is just about exploring an academic theory with my fellow scholars. For the last time I have no intent to hurt myself or others. I simply enjoy the workmanship and aesthetics of firearms. It is as harmless as my my other hobbies such as gardening and plotting to overthrow the government.... wait I see what you did there
>>
>>28078690
The explaination is "get the fuck off my property and come back with a warrant or not at all."

Use the intervening time to pay cash for a bump fire stock
>>
>>28078512
No, it isn't okay to convert a gun to full auto using external equipment. If you just had the button set up as a regular trigger instead of getting pressed by the bolt going forward it would be okay. See question 21.

>>28078690
Get one of those slidefire stocks like every other faggot who wants to turn money into noise quickly.

>>28078529
>>28079713
>>28079772
See question 21 in pic related, electronic triggers are okay, designing mechanisms that enable fully automatic fire are not. Use your brain about what constitutes fully automatic fire instead of trying to argue semantics about what constitutes fully automatic fire and you'll be okay. No, your idea that results in the gun firing multiple rounds with a human making a single movement of a trigger is not okay, it doesn't matter what mechanical fuckery you having going on in the mechanism.

all ATF agents should murder their families and then suicide with a rusty corkscrew.
notice this is not a threat but merely a suggestion
>>
>>28081165
So what if I have it pre-programmed that with on push of a button, it equals 1 round. When I have 30 pushes to this button, it is saved and will be delivered to the device controlling the gun. When another (31'st button) is pressed it pulls the trigger without me having to pull it. Would that be ok?
>>
>>28081165
Damn Anon nice reference. Thanks for the info Im going to stick to my slidefire
>>
>>28081215
Holy fuck I didnt read Q22 then. Fuck me m8s, sorry.
>>
>>28080916
The existing ones were grandfathered in.
>>
>>28082402
Yes but the ATF said no more open bolt semi autos. Any and all.
>>
>>28079772
Except for that whole trackingpoint semi auto....
>>
>>28082402
>The existing ones were grandfathered in.
What about all those spanking new CZ's and VZ's that hit the market in the last couple years?
