This is the head of R-77 missile... pic from Wikipedia.

How does this stuff work? What are those holes on the top plate? Why is it at that angle?

Anyway, I don't know much about electronics but have taken apart a bunch of electrical devices and all the wiring on this missile looks sturdy as fuck! As if it was made not to get damaged at high speeds or something.

Anyway, any missile experts around? How do they work?

>nice try china but we won't fall for your tricks

on a more serious note I don't know squat about missiles... but that plate is sitting in what looks like a gimbal mount... it's designed to swivel... I suspect thats probably a radar array of some kind and it needs to be aimed at it's target.... look close at the semicircle bit it fits into...

They dont think it be like it is, but it do

Yes, the top is the radar antenna.

yeah, that's what I figured as well. it swivels left and right and is looking for a plane. I guess it also rotates.

I have no idea how this shit works tho.

I think it's acting as linear array.

TY! This looks exactly like the missile one.

I wonder how much EE you'd need to understand this shit...

Not just mere electrical engineers work with that kind of stuff, that's the realm of RF engineers. Fucking black magic.

Engiqueer here in EE. The very basic fundamentals of microwaves and RF systems are introduced in the final year of undergrad (after covering Mexwells equations and shit) and generally isn't covered in depth until grad school.

kek... there's a guy on YT who tears down various electronic devices and whenever he tears down some RF/microwave antenna device, he puts hexes and other occult symbol in them because RF circuits look nothing like the circuits that most EE are familiar with.

I'm guessing you need a PhD in RF engineering to understand all this stuff.
