If so, then it depends on the model. Most can't be silenced due to a minute gap between the cylinder and the barrel, however there have been ones capable of being silenced made (Nagant M1897 or whatever the wheelnugget is, that stetchkin one, and several others)
In essence, odd and not easy, but also not impossible.

Also the fact that the mini gun is not a man portable system which means the vehicle it is attached to is going to make a lot of noise. Then you factor in the fact that most mini gun belts are loaded with tracers so you know where you are hitting. Tracers will give away your position so suppression is just a stupid idea.

To answer OP, it depends on what you mean by magnum. A traditional revolver is incredibly hard to use silencer effectively because you have a gap between the cylinder and the barrel. There are a couple exceptions where the cylinder will move to meet the barrel though.
As long as there is a good gas seal, there shouldn't be an issue.

Timing, concentricity, and the forcing cone.
It's mostly the forcing cone, but the first two squeeze the accuracy edge out for things like insanely expensive target revolvers. The forcing cone alone is usually good enough to get the bullet engaged with the rifling in good alignment.
Also the pressure loss from the cylinder gap really isn't that bad unless it's a fuckhuge sloppy cylinder gap that most manufacturers don't let get that big (they have maximum and minimum specifications) in the first place.
Anyway fuck you wheelguns are cool mane. Go tool with a nicely tuned 686 or 929 sometime, you'll probably like it.

It's true that you lose quite a bit of power between the cylinder and the barrel, but not enough gas can leak quickly enough. The air around the gun has to compress out of the way, and that takes a fraction of a second. Most of the force still happens goes down the barrel.
