Not OP, but if I found that gun lying around and tried to use it, I would probably put my right hand around the magwell, left hand on the grip/trigger. It seems like it would feel the same as holding any other rifle with a vertical grip, it's just the trigger is located on the vertical grip.
Not sure if that makes sense. I might try poorly drawing something in mspaint.

Though honestly speaking, the best way OP should consider is just to use existing AR15 lowers. Then he could just design a bullpup upper kit for them instead of making a whole gun.
Makes them easier to sell too when you don't need an FFL.

Only the highest end CNC routers are durable and sturdy enough to cut aircraft grade aluminum, much less steel. At that price point you would do much better with a real mill like a seig and then you could convert it to CNC later with a kit.

Yeah well I wanted to leave that up to the end user so you could have any handguard you want. The upper is threaded at the front just like the AR so you can put and old barrel (and caliber) on there with any barrel nut and fore end
