Okay /k/ommandos, I'm looking into getting a long range bolt action rifle for hunting. The area I have to hunt on has lanes ranging from 300 to over 1500 yards, and I need something that will be able to accurately and consistently reach out and touch em. Help me out guys.

Deer mostly. I won't be taking any shots over 500 yards, but the option to is always there.

The answer is .300 Winchester Magnum. Other calibers will fly just as good long range, but you want some bullet mass and energy when it gets there.
