Am I better off buying a nice Yugo for $400 from a place like Classic or SOG, a Russian for ~$500 in a private sale, or a Chink or Albanian for ~$350 in a private sale?
I want to shoot it occasionally, not just put it in the safe if that matters.

All of those are good for occasional shooters, though the Russian is best for safe queen/ investment while the chink is best for beater truck gun Albanians are hit and miss.

Yugos are kind of weird in that they are good guns but they are heavier because of the grenade spigots and their lack of chrome lining makes them a little less durable and more suspectable to rust (not something you'd really notice in your lifetime if you clean though) and there are too many to really be that collectible in terms of value.

Just get one you'd like to have.

Pretty much agree with all of this. I own a Sino-soviet and while I think it's built like a tank, I envy people with a true Russian because I think they're a little sexier.
