anyone got any tips on cheap arrows? feather fletched for traditional archery specifically. i want to learn archery but i dont want to cry over a lost 20 dollar arrow, and the ones i make from 3/8 inch dowels are crap.
im not overly asked about what material the shaft is just the fletching.

im not saying i want them a buck a piece, im saying i want them for not rediculous- 5 bucks an arrow maybe for entry level arrows.ive talked to people who use cheap walmart arrows (under 4 usd) with reasonable results and i want something comparable to just learn to shoot traditional

I got a dozen for roughly $80 and they're of a decent quality just go to your local archery store and tell them you need arrows for a recurve. If they're worth their salt they'll measure them up and fletch with feathers. Saving 2 or 3 dollars per arrow isn't worth not having decent arrows to shoot.

Also make your own it's not so hard, use trade points and tape flights. Look up backyard bower in YouTube.

thanks i got it for cheap at a garage sale and im surprised by its power- ive bent aluminum bolts with it
Easiest would be wooden dowels from the hardware store.
Cheapest is making them out of sticks.
If you've got time to burn, either way is good.
