A great all purpose but heavy machine gun.
It shows its age in some ways but is in no way obsolete. It's over kill in most modern situations (killing shitskins and toyota trucks) but that doesn't mean you don't want at least one with you.

It's not like HMGs are really meant for anything but static or vehicle use, so weight isn't really a factor.

It sounds cliche, but there's no such thing as overkill.

Try fighting dudes who are taking cover in foot thick qualat walls and see if an HMG makes life easier.
