Has anyone heard anything new about the new production MP40's in 9mm? I want one so bad, but I haven't heard anything since last January.

$550?
Really?

That seems fairly cheap IMO.

Wasn't GSG an airshit company. Who would buy that

They also made crappy MP5 clones and STG-44 clones. All of them in .22lr which has me worried now that they're moving up to big boy calibers.

Are they really shitty? I've never heard of this company before.

I never fired one, but the GSG StG looked pretty solid.
However, I don't know if the gunsmith was fucking with it or if it was from all the finger fucking, but one of the tiny screws holding the bolt assembly or receiver assembly fell out. Not sure how that affected function.

The main issue with GSG making anything beyond .22 LR is not their reputation or quality/etc, it's German export laws being extremely restrictive with longarms in centerfire cartridges.

Rimfire is easy to produce and export, but exporting something like 9mm to the USA would be very difficult for them, unless they started manufacturing them in the states.
