I have recently acquired a Remington 700 in .308, looking to buy a scope. Preferably not low tier stuff, looking at Nightforce and Leupold possibly, what kind of scopes do you guys like? Also, want something with mil dot reticule or MOAR like pic related.
What kind? I want to get a nice bolt action 308 too.

I like illuminated reticle speed with multiple power magnification, including 1x required, and a long eye relief.
For a. 308 bolt however, I would just get a 9 power or better luepold.

Nightforce and leupold are pretty low tier if you ask me, though its been a while since i bought or tried any new scopes. Zeiss, schmidt and bender and heinsoldt is where the good shit is at.
But i do own a leopold that i think is pretty good. Compared to my zeiss it pales, but it was also a lot cheaper.

This, but G2DMR instead of mildot, way better.
Depending on if you need the features or not, the DMR and ERS are better value than the Elite Tactical in their respective price ranges.

i use hensoldt and schmidt & bender scopes. i think i have a few hakko/colt ones, eotech, aimpoint, and trijicon.
for strictly hunting i prefer S&B though - low light performance is really important where i live. and i like the glass coatings during the winter months that seem to work better than others i've tried.
zeiss and nikon make good scopes too, as does the nicer leupold models. haven't tried leica or steiner, but they are comparable to S&B i'm told.

Yeah, no. NF and Leupold are upper middle to high tier. Nikon is a solid middle along with the new Zeiss.

I didn't buy a noveske AR. I have a palmetto lower and a BCM upper, a respectable poorman's rifle if I do say so.
