Good evening /k/ommandos, I would like to start this optics general thread with a question: ACOG.....
>>27944221
.....Or EoTech with magnifier? For an AR-15.
>>27944221
Is this even a question?
Get the acog
>>27944221
Neither. Get a Burris AR-332 and spend the money you save on another AR.

I think that's pretty cool that trijicon uses primary arms ACSS
I have the fixed 4x scope with the ACSS and it's fantastic. Farthest ive shot with it was 400m and the BDC worked pretty well.

Is there a variant that runs on something other than a button cell?
Looking for an optic for a SBR
MRO or Micro t1 or something else? Leaning towards the MRO

Also this, the scope in my pic was 279 and has the exact same reticule as the ACOG you posted. For about 1k less.

>I think that's pretty cool that trijicon uses primary arms ACSS
Shows how much pull primary arms has with the firearms community
ACOG is built like a tank, reliable, and has clear glass; just wish the cost was less. Even beat to shit used ACOG's fetch 700+ these days
I can get 3000 rounds of m855 greentip for the price of a new one =\

MRO has battery contact issues
>>27944276
that is because the first time you drop it it breaks beyond repair.
For a range toy its fine though.

>MRO has battery contact issues
Bullshit. I just bought one and the problem is that retards are smashing the battery on top of the contacts that are supposed to sit alongside the battery. It's like if you say your TV is defective because you smashed the plug into the wall hard enough to break the prongs.

Acog is better.
But acog is dated as fuck.
New trijicon 1-6x24 is better trijicon
Just got my TA-31F in today and mounted it with the Larue RCO. The mount resolved the eye relief issue completely for me since I shoot with the stock fully extended and not NTCH.
Going to be mounted on my 10.5" and that'll end up being my only AR eventually I think.

I have a 1-6x but I still wanted the TA31F because of fixed magnification and better FOV. I don't find myself using the magnification adjustment too much in my shooting. I usually get Primary Arms optics (I have 3 of them now; red dot, 1-6ACSS, 4-14x44 FFP mil mil), but I wanted a fiber optic illuminated fixed medium magnification...that didn't leave too many options.

Well... It is the fact they paid the money for the custom reticle ACOGs....
Money talks.
