Post the most recent guns you picked up.

Usually I'm posting about the most recent military firearm I purchased, but this time it's a little different. I just picked up this shotgun at my local gun store. Been looking for a nice side by side hammer gun for a while and this fit the bill.

Best thing is that it's a Colt. It's in rather good condition, and picked it up for about half of what it's actually worth.

Colt? They've not made shotguns in over a hundred years. 12 gauge?

I traded a nugget for an AR.
>>
>>27942990
It is a 12ga. It's a model 1878 made in 1880. I'll have to make custom black powder shotgun loads or smokeless for black powder, but more likely than not straight black powder. It is a Damascus barrel.

Won a c96 bolo on an auction recently for pretty cheap. Took it apart though, and there's sopme pieces inside that are warped, it was a fucking bitch to get it put back together because bent pieces kept falling off. I'll need to take it to a gunsmith and see what all needs done.

I bought this 9-year-old Seecamp today, complete with the retro-futuristic laser sight.

It's unequivocally a piece of shit. After I took it home from the gun store I cleaned it out and found deep machining defects up and down the barrel bore. According to the Seecamp forum this kind of this is part of the gun's charm and keyholding rounds at 6 feet improves stopping power.

Gonna see if the LGS will take it back. Probably not since it was consignment.

honestly I can't tell if it was a good buy or not. I'm relatively newfuns, and I won it for $430. Seecamp guy here again. My awesome LGS took a look at the barrel and offered me store credit--so I took an older Seecamp they had on consignment. The quality difference is huge and I can now see where the Rolex-like reputation comes from.

So if you're buying a Seecamp be suspicious of the newer ones, even if they do supposedly have better steel and CNC finishing.

Why do you have the idea that it's a bad thing. It pretty much ends up being a bunch of normal guys hanging out ant talking about cars and other interests.
