If you shop around on eBay and shit you can price one together for under 500

/k/ is going to be real mad at you for real stupid reasons.
long story short:
the lower is literally the least important part of the entire thing. it handles no stress whatsoever, you can save money here.
same thing with the grip, rail, stock - those all aren't going to be very important. Consider spending most of your money on a good barrelled upper reciever and then buy a PSA blemished lower. put both halves of the rifle together and buy the shit that doesn't matter slowly over time.

True, I initially started off that route using Anderson Manufacturing parts.
I wouldn't recommend he get a cheap barrel. $100 more for a Black Hole Weaponry barrel is reasonable to me.
