Hey /k/, what's your opinion of this? Fiddled with it in the store today, seems pretty good. Was considering the Walther PPQ M2 but they only had it in .45 or .40(?). Not a bad price ($700), and looks good.

Any issues or complaints?
>>
My dad picked one up about a month ago. If you look around you can find em for about $625, and that's with 3 mags, which cost $50 separately. We've put over 1000 rounds through it and not one malfunction. I haven't shot a whole lot of striker-fired guns, but the VP9 has, bar-none, the best trigger I've shot yet. In addition, fully customizable handgrip. Its really comfy.
>>
Monitoring

I'm between this and sig p320
>>
I like it more than most strikers. 700? What kind of jew shop sells a vp9 for 700..... I have seen LE versions (night sights + extra mag) go for 700....
I really like the paddle mag release, and the PPQ and VP9 are so similar that's why I prefer the VP9 over it.
other than that....... same gun pretty much
I would not get anything in 40 or 45 that is striker but obv that's my own opinion and if you like those I really enjoyed shooting the PPQ (just the vp9 more)
>>
>>27936117
$700 is with the tritium sights, though. I was told it comes with 3 mags as well. I do have the option of getting the default sights which brings the price down to $600, but from what I've seen the night sights cost $100+ so I don't see a reason not to grab this.
>>
>>27936138
mine has the tritium sights
>>
>>27936134
>>27936138
Also, planning on getting the 9mm version.
>>
I just passed the 2000 round mark on mine, and haven't had a single issue. I love it.
>>
>>27936130
I've been considering getting a USPC (odd I know)
VP9
or sig p320
someone help
>>
Sig is nice looking, but i've never even held one. Sticking with VP9, unless you have something against HK, you won't regret it

VP9 LE for 650
>>
>>27936193
nvm, they must have just sold out this week
>>
I picked the P320c over the VP9. Something about the VP9 just bugs me, like it looks cheaply made... At least not worth the price tag. I have not shot one though, and I really haven't heard any negative things about it from anyone who has.

That said, I REALLY like my P320c. I like how it looks, it feels great in the hand, and it shoots really well.
>>
>>27936284
I need to shoot one of those, see I think the VP9 is the better looking one. Sig looks cheaper to me, haha
>>
>>27936167
VP9 all day.
>>
Picked mine up about a year ago. I like it a lot.

Only nag I have is this weird tiny little area where the slide seemed to rubbing on the polymer frame at the back of the gun. I just filed the spot down a little. But every VP9 I've ever looked at has had that one little spot in the same location.

I own a VP9. I bought it over the P320. The 320 felt cheap and I did not like the grip at all. The VP9 feels great in the hand and shoots even better.

>>27936167
I Also have a USPC in .45 Great shooter but I am not a fan of the grip and I don't care for the fact that it only has 8 rounds. When I CC it I have to carry an extra mag to offset the low round count.

I dont want to sound like an H&K fan boy but their firearms are outstanding. That said I most often CC a Sig P229R 9mm.

Some but not all of my hand guns

My H&K's. But I also have a Sig P226R and a P229R so I am not a complete H&K fan boy. As I said I most often carry a Sig P229R 9mm. Because it shoot so nice and CC's well.

Worst pistol hk made to day. They arent made to hk old standard i see more machining mark on vp9 than any another hk pistol i handled. i didnt like silly thin long slide release that look like it can snap off easily.

The pistol felt great in hand but being striker doesn't help, im sa/da hammer guy.

Im ashamed hk ever let that shit left the door.

>>
>>27936666
So then what do you think of the P30?
>>
>>27936689
P30's good only slightly inferior but vp9's unacceptable massive compromise.

Also witness my satanic quad confirming my input.
>>27936666

Vp9 a shit

but shit of hk appear so good to filthy pleb poorfag.

VP9 and P30 are machined in the same way. I think you are letting your love of SA/DA blind you.

But you buy what you like and I will buy what I like. No reason we both can't be right.

You should buy a Walther PPQ. I have one and it is my fave carry gun. Mine is the M2 9mm, Id rather have the M1 tho. (ps. they dont make them in .45)
>>
>>27936742
Well you are wrong. Vp9 have much more machining mark and more points that shown less care was involved in making it than p30 and another older hk pistol.
>>
>>27936807
Doesn't the M1 have the dog shit-tier paddle release?
>>
>>27936866
>dog shit-tier paddle release

The paddle is like the size of the US deficit, come the fuck on.
>>
>>27936863
Believe what you would like but as someone who works in a fun store I can tell you they are the same build quality and both are outstanding to shoot.

You don't like it fine, don't buy it.
>>
>>27936886
Nope you are a lair. I have handled both and shoot them both.

Vp9 is obviously inferior in quality.

Thats fucking fact.
>>
>>27936895

You can't refer to someone as a "Liar" because they like something different then you. If you like red and I like blue does that make me a Liar? I think no.

As I said you believe what you will. I sell, build, repair and shoot firearms for a living. Your opinion is now of no interest to me. You have shown your level of maturity. I have no wish to engage in a debate with you when you act in this manor.
>>
>>27936077
I love mine, I have the LE model and I can't think of anything bad to say about it. It feels amazing in hand, trigger is good, accurate, reliable, etc.
>>27936130
VP9 no question. Before I bought one I was looking at those exact guns and at the gunstore the 320 had locked back and the slide wouldn't budge forward without hitting it with a rubber mallet. That doesn't mean much but it made me buy the VP9.
>>27936167
I like the USPc more than the VP9. Mine points very naturally and when moving between targets it just stays on point, the grip while blocky is comfortable to me.
>>27936284
It's well made, better than the glock 19 I had.
>>27936666
I have both and the VP9 is well made.
>>27936895
No its not, you're just a troll.
>>
>>27936807
That is a fine firearm. I would def recommend it.

>>27936866
Once you train with that mag release I think you will like it. I have come to prefer it to the button. I use my trigger finger to release the mag when I reload. It makes it so I can drop the mag without changing my grip and there is much less of a chance of an unintended mag release when shooting. Something I see often.
>>
>>27936971
Good Post
>>
>>27936077
Over rated meme.

Nogun idiots on this board treat it like it's revolutionized firearms, when in reality it's no better than a PPQ that has been out for years.

A CZ75, is for all intents and purposes, a better gun that has transformed firearms more than the VP9 (a clone of the PPQ).
>>
>>27937027
Go make your own thread to jack off to CZs. I had a 75 and a turkclone, the Turk while cheaper shit all over the CZ. PPQs are good guns but the VP9 has a polygonal barrel, I believe the PPQ is standard, I found the triggers between the VP9 and PPQ to be very similar but the PPQ was much longer, reset was good though.
>>
>>27936584
3rd from the left. What Sig is that and why does the grip look significantly smaller? I ask for I have tiny fingers.
>>
Most premium, hoch fünf
>>
>>27936895
>Thats fucking fact.Lol
>>
>>27937135
That is a P229R. Its a compact P226R.

Yes it is better for mid to small hands. The E2 grips on the new sigs are Very good.
>>
>>27936807
Yeah, I was considering that but Cabela's only has it not in 9mm. Feels pretty good as well. They do make it in .45, it's just called the "PPQ 45" instead, and it's a little bit different. I prefer the M2 button instead of paddle release, personally.

So since I've heard no negative things apart from that one guy who says "it's bad" with no justifications, I think I'll go ahead and get the VP9 in a few days.

Can anyone recommend some good, cheap ammo? I've seen it go for ~20c/rnd, but unsure how good that is. Oddly enough, the larger boxes seem to go for more (30c/rnd).
>>
Not a huge fan of the VP9 or striker fired pistols in general, but the VP9 is by far the most comfortable thing I have ever held. It hugs your hand from the inside, I stopped jerking off to porn and started jerking off to the thought of holding one.
>>
>>27940539
If you don't like Sticker fired but like the grip there is always the P30. Same grip but hammer fired. Its on my list of guns to add to the safe.

Also Damn lol
>>
>>27939803
Sir you will not be disappointed. Most of the people who hate it have never even held it let alone shot it. For some reason its cool to hate this gun on here. Lots of "Mall Ninjas" around. Must be because its not in COD
>>
>>27939803
I pay $0.26 a round for 9mm ball. I buy 1000 rounds at a time most often. On my 4th 1000 round case this year. We sell it for $13 a box of 50 tax included (5%) 115 grain or 124 grain.

My carry ammo is $1.10 a round (Hornady Critical Duty). Love it!
>>
So I'm considering getting the $699 version, buying sights myself, and installing them. Only thing is I can't find them. I don't know much about handguns, so I have no idea if they're specially made or generic ones I can put on different guns - any help here?
>>
>>27936077
Sick of seeing this hyped piece of shit. CZ is the best.

The stock sites on a VP9 are very good. i have the factory Tru dot night sights but you dont need them. The stock sites are crazy bright already in low light. They are luminescent and glow like crazy after being exposed to light.

Here are the same thing on my HK45.
>>
>>27937027
>>27941266
You've said that twice already.
I haven't heard any hype (or anything) about this. I found a gun I liked and am deciding to buy. What's your problem?

>>27941329
They're kind of yellowish in normal light, don't know if they're like that new. Is there a way to make aftermarket modifications?

...actually, I don't want to go to the trouble of... "fixing" the sights (not English native, no idea what the word is), since I'd assume the factory stock sights are accurate out of the box.

But it's $100 for the nicer sights. So I'm split.
>>
>>27941597
Its up to you but I would say stick with the stock sites. They are fine right out of the box. I only have the night sites because the one I ended up buying hard factory installed tru dot night sites. You can always add the tru dots later. Think they are around $105 at my shop and we install them for free. Most shops do the same thing.
