Is it worth it? Will i lose a hand?

Holy shit that thing looks like garbage

>polymer framed revolver
Too far.
>>27911477
Has there ever been an uglier modern firearm?

They are fun.
The spread on it is pretty weird because of the rifling and ultra short barrel
>>27911477
hell yeah! No, you won't.
Remember to mod it to look like this monster.
>>27911477
Does anyone else make a revolver in those calibers that is also that small?
>>27912014
Smith and Wesson makes "the governor", it's basically the judge but steel framed, six-shot, slightly larger, also shoots .45ACP, and runs about 300 dollars more.

Ruger does it well with the lcr and lcrx
>>27911477
It's a good firearm and the kickback isn't much worse than a .45. I have one but I got the metal frame, not polymer. I recommend you do the same
>>27911477
I am not too much into shotguns other than the pretty standard 12ga, but isn't using .410 pretty shitty since it has only so few pellets in it? Or am I wrong and there are actually good shots for it.

The Pontiac Aztec of guns

So looks like shit but is actually fucking awesome for how much it costs?

shotgun loads are soft by nature and that thing can handle .454 casul, which is an elephant load
Is this a good fire arm for self defense? My landlord caught someone trying to break into my house the other day, apparently he was armed, and all I have to defend myself is a fire poker.
I want something compact, with stopping power.
>>27917122
Yes. It is also a good option for concealed carry, if you live in a free state. Use any +P ammo that says Gold Dot on it.
>>27917122
Probably kicks like fuck

My grandfather left me a bunch of fire arms in his passing. There are a bunch of great rifles in the mix, but only 3 handguns. A Ruger LCR38, similar to the one in that image, an H&K .22lr revolver, and an S/W Model 29.
The 22 doesn't feel like a very good self defense weapon to me, and both the 22 and 44 are too much for what I want in terms of size and ability to conceal when I get papered.

The problem isnt the pelets you generally get the same loaded ounces. This is also negates by the fact that you can run slugs.
The problem is the bleed in velocity from such a short barrel

The LCR is considered roughly normal sized for a compact revolver. Wear a pants size larger than usual, get an IWB holster and a dark shirt with pattern and it won't print. The LCR is also famous for having lower recoil than comparably sized revolvers due to the give in its polymer frame. Sexy it ain't, but I'd readily recommend it for a first revolver

I have one in .357 Magnum. Shoots like a dream with either one, though the webbing of your dominant hand takes a pounding after a little while.
>>27917291
with either .38 Spl or .357*

>lower recoil than comparably sized revolvers due to the give in its polymer frame
A lighter gun means less recoil is buffered by it's weight.
