Every picture I have seen for the meetups there are very VERY few of you who are actually in shape. You talk constantly about what you would do in a SHTF scenario but it seems most of you on here would pass out and die of exhaustion within the first hour of ANY lengthy situation... Reminder

If you cannot do 35 pushups in full kit without stopping, you're a pussy.

If you cant hold your rifle up without shaking for 2 minutes, you should probably do more pushups.

If you can't run a mile in less than 8 minutes, then get off your fucking computer, wipe off your orange cheeto dick, and start doing something with your life.

Fat is actually helpful if you're in a survival situation. Your body has more to eat so you lose energy at a smaller rate and can retain stamina long enough to do something worthwhile and keep going.

Now, I'm not talking about some 700 lbs guy that can't even walk, but someone like Ray Mears is a good weight. I'd say that as long as you're at least somewhat fit you're fine, the rest can be gotten in time.

Try not to actually squat behind cover. I know that sometimes you have to but if you can help it: don't. Squatting is not a very stable firing stance and no matter how strong your hip flexors and thighs are you will tire out fast. Always always kneel, or even sit if you can. Squatting is a more stable position to fire from than kneeling, and if you're actually squatting like you're supposed to (feet flat, not on your toes), it's only slightly more tiresome than kneeling.

Frank Proctor has said similar about kneeling too, and he basically says to squat or, if you are going to kneel, be sitting down on your heel/foot and getting as much ground contact as possible.

Kinda sorta, really it depends on what kneeling is for you. Some people see kneeling as that really high, torso leaning forward, one leg flat on ground, one let making a 90 degree angle, foot flat on the ground. That's not very stable all things considered.

Kneeling can also be in the suck a dick position, both knees on the ground, ass sitting on your legs, which are flat on the ground. This is much more stable as you're a planted platform, and your center of gravity is low. My "kneeling" really isn't kneeling in the classic sense at all, I tuck one leg under me, sitting on my foot, and my other leg makes an obtuse triangle, sorta like pic related but I run my support arm further down against my thighs and really lean into it. This is stable for me and keeps my center of gravity low as well, without being in the bitch kneel which can be cumbersome to get out of wearing heavy gear while fatigued.

In the video, it seems clear he'd take that position because it's easy to transition in and out of in order to save time.
