If I wanted a guard on a knife I'd rather just have a d guard as I feel like the multiple finger holes would just get in the way

Not that I'd want a guard like that on a knife that small, rather have a larger knife for fighting if I had to use a knife

You need to be able to manipulate the fucking weapon in a knife fight to optimize your chances of sticking a mother fucker.

You can't do that with your fingers locked in place like that.

The blade direction starts to become predictable. You cannot as easily change the direction of attack.

Fairbairn fighting knives are the way to go. I don't care if you go for Sykes of Applegate.

This. Two of the most common things to do in short blade work is reversing the grip and switching hands if countered. Knuckle grips preclude both of these moves. Moreover, the knuckles are usually heavy, and will slow your knife hand down.

>trench knives where a thing
Trench knives where built to go in one direction: through a helmet and skull. They weren't built to fight. Trench raiders carried maces as well

Reverse grip is for tacticool faggots, so says this guy who actually killed with one:

I'm looking for a relatively cheap knife with a serrated blade to add to my collection, it must be made in a first world country or Europe. It doesn't matter whether it's a fixed blade or folding knife, the steel isn't very important either, since I'm only buying it for collecting purposes.

Which one do you guys recommend?

The sebenzafag doesn't need to reply.

> collecting serrated knives
