Funny you say that, I'm going in 2016. Army is a mixed bag depending were you go. My advice if you is remember what the army will teach you and what skills you will have when you get out.
If you go sigs or transport you will come out with an assload of favourable skills in IT or logistics respectively. If you go infantry or any other arms corps, your marketable skill is killling shit. Depends what you want to do after becaues you likely wont be in longer than 10 years.

I am by no means a physics major, the closest I will ever get to serious physics is the quantum Chem. course I am in right now. It was simply the structure of the class and the fact that Calc-Based physics was available to me.
