Help me find a particular gif or webm /jp/. I had to format my hard drive and lost an animation of Ran dancing in her swimsuit.

I can't believe Ran is so unpopular here. She's a tragic character really seeing how her role in games boil down to being a Yukari's attack. But she's cunning and very intelligent. And powerful. So powerful in fact that she was able to create her own shikigami even though she herself is a shikigami. She was also able to come up with a theory that has a widespread use in Gensokyo. Ran also has a good fashion sense. And what about the fluffy tails? That's the best thing about her.

I like Ran a lot. She's consistently in my Top 20, and we both share a love for aburaage.
It's sad that she doesn't really get a lot of attention. She doesn't even count as a part of the ever-popular Godairo, and usually, she's either depicted as a straight man to Yukari's hijinks or as a punching bag for the same.
My idea of her is that she's polite, in a friendly way, but somewhat aloof, since she spends most of her time indoors.

Still, it's not like the official works themselves are consistent; Ran in SSiB is quite busty (not watermelon busty though) compared to ZUN. PMiSS Ran also has a somewhat noticeable bust.
And while I do like ZUN's drawings, the fact that every characters are flat is a bit... unbelievable.

Fans typically give any touhou they see as "older" large breasts, despite Zun mostly not indicating them on every character. This includes Meiling, Yukari and even Yuyuko who we know died as a little girl. Ran is often portrayed as "motherly" in the yakumo house by fans so its not surprising they try to make her look fertile.

/jp/'s opinions are incredibly varied, just look at any of the tohosort threads. it'd be tough to determine where anyone would be if you consider everyone's vote, including people who only post in their own dedicated waifu threads. Ran threads seem to be everpresent, at least, so she's definitely not disliked.
