News:
-Spring 2016 Event has started and will end on May 30. It is a 7 map event split into 3 parts: Initial, Expansion and Final Operations.
-Land based planes not doing their correct damage and enemy raids not happening has been fixed.
-Players who reached E-6 before the emergency patch will get an exclusive apology furniture and an early event reward for their troubles.
-Kamikaze class DDs Kamikaze and Harukaze, Oyashio, Pola and Iowa are available in this event.
-New equipment such as the Catalina, Bofors Quad Autocannon and interceptor fighters can be earned this event.
-Land-based aircraft and their famed pilots have been added. They can be used with the new land-based aerial support mechanic, which can also accommodate naval aircraft. Land-based air squadrons will be able to aid your fleet at up to 2 specific nodes.
-The first part consists of 4 maps. E3 rewards Kamikaze, along with the ability to use the new aerial support mechanic.
-The second part consists of 1 map, rewards Pola, and is optional.
-The third part consists of 2 maps. The last map will reward Iowa.
-The max slot counts have been increased to 290/1260 for ships/equipment respectively.
-An Asashio class DD will get her Kai 2 this spring.
-Android lottery results are out, the 250k winners must wait until the end of the event to gain access.

Appartly the trick to getting to e5 boss node is to be retarded. Sortied with a demoralized plane, sent my supports to the wrong nodes, and then somehow actually got to the boss for the second time in 14 runs.

At this point I meet the boss all the time and never go sent to L node only with fbb, but I think it's not the problem in your case. For a while I thought that maybe you need slow CVL, but I have no problem after switching Hiyou to Chitose, so maybe you need specific shipgirl like Zuikaku/Shoukaku or Kasumi or it's just random and you're very unlucky.

The battleinfo plugin is really helpful for my sanity. Don't need to watch the battle, and all I find out is whether the fleet succeeded/failed and which girl got MVP. Don't need to blame any shipgirl or get mad at them for choking or eating an easy shot.
Isn't Kamikaze's seiyuu the same as Ooyodo's? Her sortie start line fits very well with SUCKSEN spam.

I'm on last kill and for chipping I used 1CA2BBV2CV1DD+1CL3DD2CA. Never get redirected with this composition.
On the other side a lot of people would recommend 2BBV2CV1CVL+Akitsu Maru, because dive bombers and zuiuns seems to deal a lot of damage to the boss. I use 1CL3DD2CA in escort fleet and didn't have any problem yet, but I heard some people still get send to L node and my amout of runs is not enough to made it 100% reliable composition.

Daihatsus stack well only if you stack different variants of them on your DDs. I ran Daihatsus x 2 + 1 main gun on 2 of my DDs. Third DD had AACI set-up.
If you want to stack WG42s, you should be using a 4-slot CL so that you can do that while retaining two main guns.
I hope you have enough ranked Zuiuns to get AP at the node before the pre-boss imps, otherwise the Ri-class double attacks really hurt. Run both supports and pray.

Stacking Daihatsu variants for better bonus damage stack against artillery imps, instead of having a 2 DD gun 1 Daihatsu set-up like a retard.
Super Marine Daihatsu + Daihatsu on one DD, Type 2 Tank + Daihatsu on the other. Burned a whole lot of screws upgrading the Tank for maximum placebo, I still don't know if that helped or not. All Daihatsus had some level of upgrade on them anyway (Super Marine +2, Standards both +6, Tank +6).
Third DD had AACI set-up to prevent things from getting pre-emptively wrecked at the boss node and CVL node.
Threw out my CVL because she wasn't helping very much and more or less exploded into uselessness once she got hit. CAV was a better idea as long as you can get air parity at the CVL node to deny the enemy double attacks; it lets you have another ship with a Type 3 shell that can hurt the boss more effectively at night (whereas a CVL is useless at night).
CL (Ooyodo) had two main guns and a star shell and a searchlight. Point was to try and divert fire away from my CAVs so that they could finish off the boss at night. In the end, it didn't matter as much as I went into the night fight with both CAVs still in the green. One got hit by the boss anyway, but was still in the orange, so she could still fire at the boss.
Will admit that I still got lucky in a lot of ways, like my boss support nuking all 3 PT imps and reducing both turrets to yellow health. Also my CAVs staying that healthy all the way into the night battle, and my fleet actually finishing off both artillery imps in the day battle.

Any tips for E7 hard last dance? This shit is driving me crazy: grinding was a cake walk, but then the boss come out with a horde of princess with DD being the most dangerous of the bunch.

Mogami + Mikuma preferred since they have a large 11 slot and 8 slot respectively. I managed with Mogami and Kumano, though.
Your planes will get destroyed a lot, and you need them at near max rank just to get air parity at the pre-boss node, so you may have to rotate them as you sortie and re-sortie. I ended up rotating between my 2 Zuiun Model 12s and my 3 Zuiun (634 Air Group)s. When I felt like it (when there were shorter repairs in progress that I wasn't bucketing or whatever), I dumped the planes that needed ranking on a BBV and packed them off to 1-5 to murder submarines.
Well shit. Almost got lucky.

Events are the only time where you can get thrown and trashed around, makes you rip off your hair or smash your keyboard (which I have done a lot of times) in many different ways. I find E-6 to be really satisfying. I blew half of my resources because I suck and I was stuck for 17 hours straight, 6 hours was purely stuck in last dance. When I saw Tone blow the fuck out of that bitch, I swear I rolled my eyes back and creamed myself in pleasure.

FUCKING FINALLY done E2H. I had almost no retreats until the final form and then I started getting my ass kicked by the heavy cruiser node before torpedo boats. I still have Akitsumaru, Kasumi and Abukuma as daihatsu carriers, should I use them for E3 or save them for a later stage? Looking at the wiki now it says E3 and E4 are warship bosses with no land installations, E5 and E6 are soft installation boss is not affected by tanks, but E6 has artillery imps. I tried Taitei-chan+Zuiun+LBA+Fighter and it did nothing. Single low level Yuu didn't even contact the enemy fleet before the planes flew.
I sortied a full sub fleet and made contact. The planes did not attack the subs. This also made me lose around 184 bauxite which does not happen when you don't discover the enemy fleet so I don't suggest doing it.

The most damage my dd do to her with WG was 151 if I remember correctly. On the other side Chikuma with her best yasen DA deal 520 damage - usually you want your destroyers (if somehow survive to yasen) to clear trash and leave CAV (and BBV in your case) to finish off the boss. So yea, E5 is sure doable without WG - you just need to pray that your hard hitters survive to yasen and took aim at boss.

After getting desperate I tried doing the debuff method for E6. Some JP site I looked at told me to kill 14 subs, 10 transports and clear L with a S 3 times. I lost count of how many transports I killed, but I killed a total of 18 subs and cleared L node twice with S before going to boss and hear the 「まさか」 at the end of her introduction line (when I get routed down I just proceed with clearing L and then retiring). Opening airstrike did 679 followed by boss support which did 600+ and killed her. Debuffing is real.

The sheer magnitude of data present in KanColle prevents shitters from being able to grasp all of it. If they were to only create a good setup for air denial, they would probably be able to do it properly. However there's so much other stuff to keep in mind while playing the game that only smarter individuals are capable of being good at KanColle. I think that does count as skill and separates good players from bad ones.
You see, ~98% of info is present on wikia. However there are maybe two people there who understand the game to similar degree as me. Meanwhile on /jp/ the number would be much higher.
