I don't think getting AP in the void is that easy.
My golem dude and pets got pretty much no AP at level 80 of the void, and that's after grinding up a few very overlevelled North Tyris bosses that would definitely stomp your character.
Though my pets just might be having a hard time getting AP since they've gotten a decent amount already.
You'd be better off just taking on level 80 overworld dungeons than the void. They have dragons and other easy AP at that level, I think.

Fairy has tons of bonuses with resists/DV/speed/high base mana and it's equipment restrictions will likely prevent you from incurring a caster penalty. As the game goes on though fairy speed and mana become less and less valuable and the aforementioned equipment restrictions become extremely painful to deal with. Fairies also have extremely low base life and it requires quite a bit of grinding to fix.
Elea racials are useful, the reduced ether corruption reduces the amount of cure corruption potions you will need to drink but that becomes meaningless after a while. The resistance to magic reaction damage however is probley the most valuable ability you can have as a mage in the lastest version and makes power leveling your will/magic capacity skill even easier.
Lich has the highest base mana out of all the starting races and when you are casting spells constantly you will need it. Unlike the fairy the lich also doesn't lose a ton of base life.
The class you pick is wizard simply due to the amount of spellcasting skills it gives you, the only one you are missing is control magic. You can live without that though since magic dart is the only spell you will be able to cast for a quite a while.

If you're looking at the super long-term, Golems are probably the best spellcasters in the game. The immunity to Dim is nothing to scoff at, and even now I don't think you can get immunity to Dim any other way than starting as a Golem.

I have control magic at 94 and alchemy at 75, I wonder if this thing could be remotely useful at higher levels.

I've always wondered if dim immunity was the exclusive property of Golems. Prior to my resists I have now I handled dim by either killing the enemy before it did all its bad stuff or by drinking a healing potion. Now most enemies can't even dim me it seems due to high sound resist. I have all my sound resist on my necklace and prior to being brainwashed in the void by an enemy, almost nothing seemed to dim me. When my necklace was unequipped through brainwash then almost every enemy was dimming me. Only Yith/Eldritch horrors and one of the Performaids can dim me at the moment making me think that if I just stack more sound resist then they too won't dim me. Are there any high level Golems that never had to worry about dim at very deep levels of the void? Are there any players that can confirm if stacking sound resist to really high levels can grant me immunity to dim or is it truly the exclusive property of golems?
Speaking of eldritch horrors, I've been going into the deep levels of the void to train my pet and I seem to have come out a mental train wreck. I knew the sanity buildup was going to get bad eventually down there but I guess I really have to start paying more attention to it now and start taking more active means of treating it.
Looks like I'm going to have the chiche anime hot spring episode where I go to Larna and enjoy the hot springs with my pets. Maybe sister lunches can heal my shattered mind and put me back in a good place. Those sisters are going to be busy in the kitchen for quite awhile.

Insanity, so far as I can tell, causes status effects with absolutely no regard for resistance or immunity to that status effect. Which can make a lot of sense depending on how you interpret the flavor of insanity.

the enhanced spells attribute is capped and when you get the mag abyss and a living weapon you can basically max out your enhanced spells without dual wielding, you can do so easily if you also put a enhances spells item in your throw.

Those are definitely important. I'm not sure about skimping out on the rest if you're not rich in materials for artifact fusion though.
There was a powerful anon that posted awhile back that was cramming lots of magic resist on his gear. The reasoning for it is that magic resist definitely does protect against magic type but it was found that magic resist also provides a bit of resistance for all the other resists too. Definitely not as good as the resist meant for a particular resist but still something. If you did stack tons of magic resist you'd be able to maybe eventually resist everything is what I think he was trying to see. You would certainly be able to skimp out on some resists but you'd have to have a lot of whatever it is that you need to stack that magic resist and I don't think they're that common. That and you'd need the attribute scrolls too.

Magic resistance seems to be exactly half as effective as any other resistance type for any non-magic elemental damage, if the formula still holds true to last version.
Magic is definitely the answer when talking about damage and damage only, especially since it's not covered by the resistance spell.

The great thing about magic res is that it goes on top of other resists. e.g. Mind damage is reduced by x% due to mind res, then y% due to magic res. In other words, you dodge the diminishing returns.
The best thing to do is probably to have 5~6 stars in all elements, then lots in magic.

Just keep improving gardening, and the proportion of rare herbs will go up. You'll always get a majority of stomafilias/curarias, though.

level them, give her enhances spells weapons. NPCS in general seem to have higher level spells the higher their base level is. Raising her mag stat is the only other way to raise her spell damage.

Could I get some tips for my little home? Let me know if you need more pictures before you can make an assessment. The story is that the schang-clan is in the middle of some serious unrest; within the clan there are several tribes that make up the community, some larger than others and greater in influence etc etc. tldr the lords of two tribes and all the Psykers protecting them have been found skinned on the holy grounds of the clan. The character has decided this is too much and has made a small personal island to escape the intrigues and also so that he may become more powerful to protect himself from assassins. Being from the forest, however, he has attempted some adjustments to what would otherwise be a sandy retreat. My issue here is I don't know what furniture would look good here or what tiles would better convey the Haunted forest/abandoned beach look I'm trying to go for.

This is a horrible idea. Stronger pets should be harder to train. Some of the abilities these pets have need to be balanced against something.To strip away the difficulty is to pretty much make weaker pets less appealing and you'll see less diversity in the pets people own. If you want an easy pet to train just go with a snail or something. Leave the higher pets alone until you're strong enough yourself to train them. The way it is now is good because you actually have to work for things. If you can't hack it then Elosnack is there for you but it would be horrible if all pets were easy to train. Hell some people think they're way too easy to train as is.

Their class is thief so I guess they have a melee AI. Unless you change their AI, it's probably best to arm them for melee and raise melee skills. I don't see why a catsister would be a bad pet. There's no glaring weaknesses.

Catsister start off with 200 speed which is pretty nice early-game. Fire dragon child is quite beefy with over 200 life and gains some good special actions with later evolutions.

I'd add a librarian, but since residents are shared between both floors, the librarian would end up trotting around in the upper-lava like the little sisters. Which isn't too bad, but I wish it didn't happen.
Might astral light pen Renai, the Over Meshera (when I have the levels) as a librarian. I think she'd look nice both upstairs and downstairs.
Pillars would look nice, but they're way too heavy to lug around. Heavy furniture is annoying.

Keep in mind that you have to keep the unique npcs alive, or else the payouts barely worth anything. I personally go around magic balling everything surgically without killing any named npcs, though I'm not sure if there's a better method.
