Even though it's unlikely, I hope Seija not using items to win is the canon route. If I'm not going to get a sequel or anything new with her, at least I get to know that she is one of the best danmaku duelist in Gensokyo.

Seija doesn't seem to me to fit into any of the currently serialized mangas very well... She really seems like more of a game character than a manga character.
Given the popularity of Impossible Spell Card, I think it's totally possible that we see a second Touhou : Amanojaku game.

Do you need to set up some special settings or does it work normally?
I remember trying to play one of those before and it woudn't work, even on jap locale.
Some people claimed setting it to chinese helped, but that didn't do anything for me either.
