When I first found http://www.thejapanfaq.com/FAQ-Primer.html it was extremely eye-opening to me. A lot of things I've wondered about the Japanese seemed to finally make sense.
Is this a more-or-less accurate analysis, from those who have personal experience with Japan? Especially those who have lived or are living there?

/pol/fag and otaku reporting in. I like that Japan has a level of division between themselves and Gaijin. What is it with foreigners wanting to erode that to make life easier for themselves? I see more and more videos trying to make out like 'look, Japan is becoming more progressive', I see through their BS.
