Where do you order your Japanese snacks from? I ended up trying J-List at some point in time but it took them a month to deliver my shit and I live a couple hours away from where they store their drinks. I had to contact them multiple times and ask them to get their shit together before they finally sent it in the mail.

I get them in the supermarket, sometimes on don quijote. I will miss then when I leave Japan but hopefully I will return with a bag full of them.

Amazon is the place for me, shipping can be a bit expensive though. The price depends of course on what you get though, they vary wildly. I'm so jealous that Japan get so much better snacks than the US though and no matter what importing is gonna be a bit expensive even if your getting the stuff in bulk and having it around for a long time to yourself.

It's cheap sugary shit. The only good Japanese "snacks" are too perishable and too local. You may as well buy American shit because it's the same thing.

In the UK I use Japan Centre, they're pretty good for both delivery time and selection, not sure if they operate wherever you live though.
You don't just go to the local Japanese supermarket?

I live in a small town and all we have is really popular shit and the cheap knock offs. I just want to try something different.

I have been here in japan for a couple of months and seems like every month a bunch of new stuff comes up and a bunch of other stuff disappears from the stores. Do they return latter or I have to try everything before it is gone forever?

Unless they have a farm of those super cows near the store that meat already went to shit by travelling from nip to murrica.
I've been contemplating ordering a snack package from Amiami (Okashi box). Just a bit concerned of any possibility of it being stopped at customs because of it being a food item. I know that perishable foods would likely be stopped but I've no idea when it comes to sweets. Anyone have much experience with this?

Seattle and Vancouver have pretty much all the common items in their Japanese markets.

Looks exactly like one of those brown people "supermarkets" where they eye up your sister.
I get my weeb treats from One World Market, a Japanese grocery store near where I live.

Refrigeration technology is an amazing thing anon, if the amount of US, Australian, European, South American and other foreign produces currently available in Japan are of any indication

In the case of fruit and vegetables, they are picked before ripe, then allowed to ripen on the journey. This adversely affects the quality of the product.

You're forgetting the meats, fish, and other animal related products
