In Burgerland, is it very common among teenagers to work during summer holidays? Do parents force their children to work or GTFO?

I guess they do small menial jobs like collecting bottles and cans for money or maybe cleaning backyards. Don't think they do any real work till 18-19. I think that having a job during summer vacation is a good thing, it teaches you responsibility, boosts self esteem and honestly you are free most of the day so it keeps you busy.

no it's not uncommon here for highschoolers to work actual jobs over the summer or even work evening/night shifts during school. I used to work construction before the recession killed the market for that while I was in highschool during the summer. Most get service industry/retail jobs
