Off Topic Fun Fact: I simply fell off my bicycle recently doing one of my favorite routes in northern NH. I was going pretty fast downhill and while I was going around a bend I hit a pothole, went right over the handlebars and smashed my face in. Lost 4 teeth and broke 2 others. Road rash on the face and a broken wrist. By just riding a bike.
Fuggggggg. It definitely made me realize how fragile I am and how easily things can go extremely wrong. In America when nearly everybody drives like 40minutes on the highway to go to work going 110km/hr+ easily. It absolutely amazes me how competent everybody is. Like, you can be on the road with thousands of other people and like a school of fish, somehow everybody magically manages not to fuck up and kill a few people. (Almost) I mean, with all the fuckin' idiots out there it's incredible really. I mean, think of how dumb the average person is, then realize that HALF are stupider than that, yet we're all pretty competent at the job and trust eachother, almost with our lives. Just an observation I have sometimes on the highway going like 135km/hr for 4 hours travelling to Maine once a month or so.
I'm definitely mildly afraid going 135km/hr
