Battle anthems are always a safe based bet. My problem with the Spanish/Italian/French anthems is that they have good themes, but always sound overly festive to my ears. Ours has a melancholy to it, although that's in line with our country mentality.
Canada used to have a nice one before they changed it. I don't thin I know any nordic anthems.

Honest question: why is Portugal still poor? I understand that they colonized before the advent of capitalism like Spain so they didn't retain their wealth, but even Spain is doing okay now. Is it because Portugal is small? Portugal needs to come into contact with more nations, its no longer an excuses that their isolated due to Spain.
