Czech, Polish and Slovak language are really similar to each other, they are even partly intelligible. It's hard to say about the culture, of course we are related to each other we are neigbhours, Western Slavs and all but you need to remember that through like half of it's history Poland was rather engaged in the East(Ukraine, Lithuania) and the North than in the West/South.
