A friend he was talking to said that he was either being threatened by locals or by authorities, which he seems to suspect the latter. He's mentioned a few times hanging out with hoodlum types to me though, so it's tough which is true.
what further suspects me of it being locals was that he was talking to a different girl who already had a boyfriend but would have made her guy and the new guy fight for her pussy.
