White Brazilian in Texas reporting. What have people confused your ethnicity with? I've have people say I look:
>French
>Bulgarian
>Russian
>Persian
>Swedish (probably meant Swiss, and I was wearing a Swiss shirt then so it doesn't really count.)
What about y'all?

Religious diversity? While I strongly believe any sane adult who's not privately non religious is nothing but an imbecile anyone not raised a Catholic in Latin America is automatically shit tier... All other Christian denominations/religions only weaken the region.

I'm Catholic, but you still have to consider the malignant influence (liberation theology) the Catholic Church has in propping up socialist countries. This promotion of a sort of populist stance towards economics is reminiscent of Catholic Church during the medieval age in Europe. I think Latin America is how medieval Europe used to be like expect more technologically advanced (of course) and less whites.

Latin America is the only place in the world where nationalization of property occurs in peace time, there is a stigma against self-initiative, especially towards economic prosperity.

Counter to that other, protestants are pretty cancer tier, I'd rather have a conservative and poor Latin America, than a rich and morally deficient and hedonistic one.

Honduras? Goes without saying, even people in your ruling classes are mostly sandniggers...

I would rather not see Latin America poor... Liberation theology is not incompatible with Keynessian economics and European social democracy, not the US, has always been the de facto model for advanced countries in the region. The one exception may be Panama. While individual memebers can be tied in suporting both right and left wing regimes the Church in Latin America is mostly neutral/defanged in anything other than pushing for a socially conservative agenda which is pretty much a lost battle. Evangelicals, and in particular the American prosperity gospel are on the other hand divisive and dangerous. Americans are seen as a role model by our poorest classes which only exacerbates the problem, we require religious homogeinity as a unifying influence, tho I'll grant a few wealthy Protestants and maybe some hipster Buddhists in urban areas may be beneficial. Foreign Muslims were able to convert an indigenous community in Chiapas (only a few hundred but still a concern) using economic incentives on people already weakened by American charismatic evangelists, none of them were Catholic at the time of conversion. If we are to prevent the faggotry that's currently sweeping Europe we need to mantain stroingly Catholic mores and values.

Neither would I want Latin America to be poor, but between the trade off, I'd especially would never want them to become as cucked as Western Europe is. Latin America needs governments that are more focused on developing infrastructure and eliminating slums. However, what I just said is also part of the problem: the typical latin american culture of expecting the government to provide the solution. This ties in to homogeneity, a community is more likely to work together the more relatable they are to each other. But another point to consider, is how the government outrightly oppresses and prevents the people from taking self initiative. Take example for Brazil. How long does it take for a guy to start up a company? Hundreds of days! Compare that to USA where it takes 6 days, or Australia's 3 days, you can see the problem. Then there are loans, due to the distrustful financial history of LA, banks do not trust that the government will protect creditors, instead it protects debitors. So they give out high interest rates for loans, making the government the only source for a reasonable loan. But of course government officials play favoritism with who gets the loan, so this invites corruption.

I think the ultimate solution for LA would be perhaps Libertarians, or at least some sort of minarchism that promotes smaller government so they'll get out of the way.

Libertarianism would never work in Latin America, it isn't that people expect handouts, on the contrary, a big part of the problem is the middle classes opt out of public services in what they can (education, healthcare) and therefore do not give a fuck which leads to accountability issues, but that American style ideologies are not appealing outside the US. how many "first world" countries have adopted a health care system similar to the US? Mexico has both universal healthcare and it takes only a couple of days to start a business, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Uruguay are examples of countries liberalizing while mantaining the basics of Keynessian economics, you're looking at the wrong countries to draw conclusions of what's best for the continent...
>>
>>62054766
In Brazil actually, gringo means every people who was born in other country, it doesn't matter if is white or not.
>>
>>62055133
Do you mind getting us cerveza while we get ready to order?
>>
>>62055213
True. But I still in there very least LA as a whole should pursue smaller government. I rarely see instances where the government is actually helping the people. The less government involvement, the better. Aside from that, LA should also do a better job of protecting creditor to gain back the trust of foreign investors, and strengthen property rights.

Or the banking system could actually bother loaning to anyone but the people who don't really need loans? In Mexico credit is pretty much non existent for anyone but consumers, who are ironically enough the only people protected by the law... I'm not arguing there's not a need to reform governemnt but when you've had minimum wage loose 70% of its buying power since NAFTA got started while meanwhile the country's economy has grown to rival the Netherlands or Spain you kind of having a legit argument for not being so pro-business. What you get is one guy being worth 8% of GDP. I know this is a hard thing to understand for Americans hardwired into thinking pro-business is always better but South American countries looking at Mexico may have some doubts on whether they want to pursue this route. Don't get me wrong, I'll still take our Seguro Social over Obamacare any day of the week...

Of course I understand the drawbacks of globalism. Its very much to the gain of the top and a draw back to everyone else. Its understood that liberalization of the economy increases overall wealth but the drawback being that its inherent goes against equity.

I don't really have any argument to put forth, because what you stated is true. I however cannot think of any alternative to increasing the wealth of a nation other than liberalization. Social security isn't really a final answer because you just redistribute wealth, you don't add to it.

Gringo is for Americans.
>>
>>62054766
Güero means white people, although in some places it's used specifically for blondes. Gringo was originally used for Northern Europeans although the use in Mexico to specifically refer to people from the US has now spread, Spaniards today use Guiri for people from Northern Europe. Gabacho was originally used in Spain to mean French although in Mexico it's also used for people from the US.
