i - personally - mourn the loss of opportunity that being part of the eu made possible. for example: the return to tarrifs and visas that put obstacles in the way of the younger generation - the 14-15 year olds - that those older generations who voted 'out' enjoyed. sort of a 'price of everything, value of nothing' thing.
then there's also the nasty underside of the country that the 'out' camp brought to light and enabled: the increase in hate crimes post-brexit. the lies about where the 'weekly eu money' will go, and so on. every major politician in the 'out' camp since disappeared after having their fun in the spotlight, and now mummy has to step in and do the real, difficult work to fix the mess they left.
like eu membership is a force multiplier; without it we're just another shitty little island populated by nasty, spiteful people that's not very good at anything besides silly hat parades and blaming foreign meddlers for our own thick-headed mistakes.
