How does this even happen?
Aren't trains typically on rails?
Sorry for your loss Italy. Respect.
How did that happen?

It was a trait with a single rail for both directions; someone did not respect the precedence, human error.
Strange that there was not a device to automatically stop the trains in such cases, but that's terronia and it was a trait with no high-speed trains.

If they were killed by ISIS you wouldn't have joked about it. You should feel bad and then kill yourselves.

Southern Italy is a trait with no high-speed trains

The same type of accident happened in your country some months ago.

Now I see that they are ready to blame an hypothetical "technical failure" of some mechanism regulating the train connections... it doesn't make sense, there shall be sensors alerting if a train is committed on a junction or not, regardless of any failure in a train connection mechanism
I can sense that they are ready to blame some mechanism to avoid taking any responsibility

Why Italian trains are so shit?
Pendolino is extremely shitty train, always having some technical problems.

That's just a bad model made in the past, and by the way it was rather innovative for its time. Please show me the great finnish train engineering, if you can find any.

my fucking god how do italians fuck this up. are they stupid enough to only build one train track? they are incredibly cheap to create as it is.
>>61996008
good one actually
>>61996779
>it doesn't make sense, there shall be sensors alerting if a train is committed on a junction or not, regardless of any failure in a train connection mechanism
There almost certainly is.
The track is divided into "blocks", when a train occupies a block, it shunts an electrical circuit that goes through the rail. The dispatcher should at a minimum know what blocks are occupied and the direction of travel.
It's almost certainly a dispatcher error, or one of the train drivers ignored/didn't see a red light.

>>62001674
fuck off retard, what's the point of two tracks in a zone where very few trains pass?
The investigation will tell if it was a technical problem ( I doubt it) or human error
