How did people react to Brexit in your country?
>>
>I hope this will make people forget about the Olympics
>>
it was hilarious. people and entire media were laughing because brits were so dumb.
>>
They hope Brittania will not take more refugees, we need this country as a safe boat, you know. Keep Londongrad white.
>>
The googled "What is the EU"
>>
We didn't care.
>>
>>61908552
pretty much this as well
>>
>>61908552
this.
also, still don't get why /pol/ worship such a moronic and retarded freak like Farage.
>>

>>
>>61908228

shat themselves that they can't clean bong toilets anymore and hungary won't get the mad bennies from the eyu
>>
Some with butthurt, some with satisfaction that Poles living in UK got BTFO.
>>
1/2 of the country,
>"Britain is fucked, the EU is fucked, we're all fucked"
other 1/2
>"NEXIT NOW"
>>
>>61908228
fair amount of confusion and shock
>>
>>61908552
This. And we aren't even a member. We know what they're getting into, though.
>>
>>61910832
Why would poles in the UK be BTFO? They came here legally. we're not going to kick them out because the law changed afterwards.
>>
>>61908228

moved quickly to spare our shekels from the fallout

seriously though, all the news here was about how britain are fucking up the stock markets.
>>
>>61908228
Uh no one gave a shit
People don't even know what the EU is

When I first heard it I thought it was part of the UN or something
If most Americans think something along those lines people probably would praise the UK for leaving because a lot of Americans think the UN is stupid
>>
>>61910840
Aren't the Netherlands pretty eurosceptic and most likely to leave next?

Don't tell me you don't secretly wish all the subhuman Polish immigrants to get the fuck out of your Londonistan
>>
I respect the will of the British population

I hope that in spite of the fact that our president made a very stupid comment we will continue to enjoy good relations with the UK

Most people didn't even know it was happening.
>>
>>61910832

Anyone already here would be allowed to stay tho, literally even Farage said that
>>
>>61910916
I don't think people want to be on this sinking ship anymore now that you're gone.
Maybe we'll have to start a Dutch-British union.
>>
>>61910931
No, I like eastern Euros it's the shitskins that cause all the problems. Shame the poor working class are too stupid to realise we're just going to replace the Poles with more Pakis.
>>
>>61910916
Wilders (biggest in the polls) and some minor new parties instantly declared they wanted Nexit referendum.

Our main stream parties were in a panick after the Brexit and outright said they would never allow a referendum.

The Netherlands is not in the same position as the UK, as we're an export country depended on Germany. So for us it's less economically viable to leave the EU than for the UK.

But if a vote would occur a nexit has a fair chance of happening.
>>
>>61910965
United Kingdom of Great Britain, the Netherlands and Northern Ireland?
>>
>>61910965
>leave european union
>start a new union
so basically, you don't have understand a single fuck, isn't it?
>>
>>61908228

me : yeah
mom : yeah..
me : cocks
for some reason the dinar regained some of its value when u fags did that madness
>>
>>61911036
Except this time, we'll be in charge and not the Germans.
>>61911018
I'd rather have a Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, Groot-Brittanniƫ en Noord-Ierland.
>>
>>61911005
The nexit referendum will play a big role in our elections in 2017.
>>
The vast majority of Americans couldn't even find the UK on a globe, so I won't guess what they were thinking.
For the politically-minded people, though, it was pretty similar to the UK itself- some were saying it was racist and awful while others were saying it was a victory for democracy and a people's right to self-determination.
>>
>>61908228
"I can't believe they are that dumb."
"Must be those Celtic genes."
"Better that they are out, they were never really in the union anyway and always had special snowflake syndrome. De Gaulle was generally right about the Brits."
"Does this mean we won't have to put up with the filth that comes here to indulge in binge drinking and end up pissing against our churches and monuments anymore?"
>>
>>61908228
Our Prime Minister said that with how things are going, the eu might end up with only Bulgaria, Greece and Romania.
>>
>>61910965
>>61911005

if we stabilise eventually and start doing alright, I'm sure it would encourage others that leaving is a plausible option

lolwut?

Many support it as the UK is one of our most important trade partners and this is a golden opportunity to build a strong EFTA. Doesn't mean we think it's a good idea for them to leave though, we're two very different economies so naturally it's not given what works for us will work for them.

Farage, Boris, Cameron and the rest have been ridiculed by the media here though, and all major news outlets are reporting on it as if the people of the UK made a big mistake.

Immigration. The UK gets to set their own quotas and not Brussels and that's anti-immigrant, which is anti-racist.

It's not going to happen. Even D66, the most pro-referendum/direct democracy party has stated they won't support it.

The only way it will happen is if Wilders gets an absolute majority, which is very unlikely.

We're in the EEA, so there's not much difference, we're forced to adopt most EU laws. Hopefully with UK on our side we can renegotiate some of the terms in the agreement, but I expect EU will make an example out of the UK to make the option to leave as unattractive as possible to other member states. The reason we voted no (twice) was mostly to protect our agriculture, fishing and petroleum industries that are greatly benefiting from us not being a EU member, but the situation in the UK is a much more complicated being one of the largest economies in the world. Hence, most think UK would be much better off in the EU than 'on their own'. UK with Norway's current EU relationship would definitely not benefit them, so hopefully they can work something out similar to what Switzerland did.

Support for staying in the union went from 61% to 70% in a couple of days.

The general view was that Brits were lied to by power hungry conservative elites who proved theselves as complete cowards after the election.

Much will depend on how Brittain recover from this, i guess it is the same in any other 'eurosceptic' country.

For that reason, the EU really has to make Brexit as painful as possible for the UK, if it has any hope of surviving this shit.
>>
>>61908496

Not a chance my friend, waiting for all the athletes to get zika for shits and giggles.

>>61908228

Those who voted leave pretty much did >>61908603 afterwards. People who did vote leave only did so because they thought they'd be able to get rid of muslims that way. Because, yano, no muslims exist in the commonwealth, which is where we're going to get all our immigration from now.

Essentially, all our remain backers are historical liars pointing out that experts in all fields are saying it's a bad idea, and then we have the mentally subnormal Gove and Farage basically imploring the people of the UK not to trust someone with education.

It's only Scotland, Northern Ireland, some parts of Wales and places like Liverpool and Manchester which voted to remain in a majority, and in the latter case that's mostly because the last time we had a tory government without the EU, they tried to 'disassemble' the city for being left wing.

Also, goddammit australia. Never have I seen a group of people come out in such defense of leave than australian posters on this board.

Soviet Union wasn't a union of countries, it was an Empire separated. It was separated for two reasons: prevent rebellious forces from the civil war form fully independent acountries and provide a Marxist doctrine of eqality by giving power from the hands of Russians to everyone. The goal of EU is uniting business nad nations, not keeping your country intact in hard times after you lost two wars and experienced two revolutions in last 20 years.
>>

I think brits fucked up big time economically and diplomatically.
The way they did the vote (as a part of a in party fight) made them look like a country with no contol over it self. If Farage became PM or if the Tories had won with a Brexit platform it would have been a different deal.
The fact that both in and out campaigns were full of lies and halftrruths only made an already bad situation worse.

I'm hopeful that now EU can reform and further integration, now that the 'special' partner is going to leave.
Money is just money, having a united Europe will pay in the long run.
