Funny thing is, if the Falklands War of Argentine Aggression never happened, they might've gotten to have those islands. The population would've dwindled to pretty much nothing, as costs of living rose and the price of agricultural exports declined. There probably would've been a point where there were 50 people left, and the UK just says, fuck it, too expensive to maintain.
