switzerland has done really well because it has been extremely lucky, the country has a lot of valuable assets, used them wisely and was very fortunate

It's a matter of perspective.There are over 7 billion people on the planet and maybe 500 million live in rich countries.That's less than 10% and switzerland is one of them.
There is probably 10% rich people in Bosnia as well, and that does not mean bosnia is successful. It's a consequence of capitalist economy, where a few people profit off of most people, and switzerland is on the better side of things.
