What's wrong with Republican party in USA? Since Reigan they provide total morons from George Bush to Donald Trump. They are losing support among the population and becoming retarded party with backward attitudes attracting pol tier freaks.
Why are they like that? What's happened with them? What are they going to do? In a multiparty political system they would lose their place in a parliament to another party but in biparty system of USA it would lead just to a full dominance of Democratic party. What are they going to do about it?

My opinion is following: the only solution for Republicans is becoming more progressive. They would survive if they become libertarian so the main opposition in future political scene of USA would be socialism aka democrats against libertarians aka Republicans. The conservative attitudes of Republicans they have now are just unable to survive in modern world.

Regardless of that, which is a non-point scrivener's error, a lot of people overestimate the power of the presidential figure even though the position is within a system of checks and balances. However, this system is not perfect. Special interest lobbies/groups can contribute massive funds to campaigns, and Shillary is WELL equipped with those. Trump is a lone wolf that many Reps won't claim due to the fact that he is, indeed, a lone wolf running under their banner.
Also, Hillary is a warhawk whereas Trump would like to get us out of places where America does not need to be spending its time or people.

Checks and balances are saving USA and you're correct about it, but when one of the major forces of that system is refusing to change and becomes overrun by people like Trump and his supporters it could destroy that system. Serious business don't support Trump because they are sane but because of backwardness of Republicans they would continue producing trump-like retards in a future so Republicans would lose all the support both among business and the people. But you have a two party system and Republicans can't just get vanished to a political dump. They can't be replaced with another party, that's the problem.

Certain key aspects are becoming irrelevant and that leads to some people modernizing views and others pushing back as hard as possible. A lot of modern views can get consolidated into younger voters who may go third party or not vote at all, leaving the more likely to push back older guard to be the ones with in party voting power leading to similar people (at least in image) being their representatives.
