Anyone want to post some cities?
Hi, I'm here for the cities.
I like Japanese cities, Chinese cities have better skylines for the most part but they suffer at ground level because they lack the character that comes from long term development and aren't usually planned around lots of people walking so they lose that density. Apart from places like HK i guess.
It looks pretty futuristic but even from this shot its clear that the ground density is quite low

The green space that is developed though does look cool, so with nice public transit this could be alright

Japan certainly has great low down shots. Yeh though the skylines do seem to suck apart from a few select angles. I don't think anywhere in the world can match walking around on the ground though. Tokyo is interesting for having multiple big clusters though.
what was that modern city in china were everything is old school architecture again? why don't they have more of that?

Because it's just not cheap
It's cheaper to have some boxes of concrete that even if ugly, are cheap to rent, are good for space management and it benefits the landowners.
That's why athens is like a favela instead of having all old styled buildings (and most old and cultural cities too)

Compared to London/NYC/Paris its cheap, because there are apartment blocks and cheap housing absolutely everywhere and less inflation from the super-rich buying up property etc. Its also more affordable past that because eating and traveling around the city is incredibly cheap for what it is.
Its not cheap compared to lesser cities ofc but at the top its not outrageous.
