The Mosin is dirt cheap and has dirt cheap ammo that will stop a chimp dead in his tracks. The downside is that it's slow to fire (bolt action) and it'll dislocate your fucking shoulder if you're a limp-wristed faggot.
Otherwise just buy an AR-15 derivative if you want a long-ranged defensive tool, a Shotgun if you want home defense or a 9mm/45ACP handgun if you want concealed carry. If you choose 9MM, remember Mozambique drill- two to the chest, one to the head.

And that [something] is driving me nuts, because I'm pretty sure she said "Jk, I don't have a boyfriend" but the area we were in was crowded and noisy and her voice trailed off, meaning I didn't hear the rest of the sentence clearly, and that could definitely be wishful thinking on the part of my memory.
I'm going to an apartment party later that she'll be at. Based on the fact that she could've said anything, it seems best for me to assume she said something else and was dropping the fact that she had a boyfriend when I was within earshot to politely make things clear for me.
But if I'm not just thinking wishfully and she actually said "jk, I don't have a boyfriend" then that means the opposite, she was dropping the fact that she was single when I was within earshot to say "I am into you, make a move already dummy"
And what else would it be? Given the context of the rest of the conversation, I really can't think of any other reason she'd say "Jk [something else" and not just end the thought.

and it depends what you want to go there to see. there's a big carnival setup and rodeo shows you can go to, as well as other stuff like music. lots of pub crawl stuff going on around town. also free pancake breakfasts across the city, especially downtown.
I've been to the Stampede grounds twice. All I really checked out was the Military setup so I could go inside tanks, and the area that had farm animals. It's a pretty well setup festival overall, and the rancher theme is kind of fun.
