I'm learning German at the moment - I find it easier because many German words are pretty similar to English. Also, the sentence structure is the same which is useful.

It's a good call. It's also not a terribly hard language for native anglophones to learn, since the grammar isn't too tricky and tenses are almost all analogous to what we already have in English.
The only other serious contender is probably Spanish, but it's probably better to go with French since it's more useful for you.

If you wanna know more of your own country, and possibly have a shot at working with international politics, do french.
Spanish is the second most logical choice, since you'll know what's going on in most of S.America. In that sense it fills out the lingual map of your continent more than french does, and certainly more than Portuguese. If you wanna be able to travel to warm places down south and out east, learn spanish.
German makes sense only if you're a euro to begin with, in which case it makes sense to be able to do business/trade with german companies. It doesn't make much sense for a leaf-frog.
Russian is as mentioned the lingua franca of eastern europe. You'll be able to know people across the most time zones of any language, basically from beijing to helsinki. It's also the hardest of the bunch, desu.
Finnish is cool because finland is cool country and doesn't afraid of anything. Despite the memes and the knives and the suicide and darkness, finland is beautiful and cultured. It's very scandic in some ways, and very ugric in others. Besides, Finnish is extremely different to almost all other languages, so it's a great third language to get your brainmeat around the idea of learning even more foreign stuff, for instance as a stepstone to russian (because let's be honest, after a few weeks slumming it in russia, going west to chill out in a sauna in a place with working plumbing and non-corrupt police is just the thing)
Hungarian is similar to Finnish in some ways, and sounds like demon-summoning. Hungary is also a country with an interesting history, and staunch white pride policies, if you're into that sorta thing.
