I want to teach English overseas, preferably in the MENA region (Tunisia, etc).
As a U.S. citizen, I know I must take the TESOL/TOEFL/CELTA certification first. This is usually 120+ hours with a practical demonstration to teach actual students to prove one's ability.
Tunisian programs require at least one year of experience, so I will need to teach somewhere else first..
I live in the Southern California region. Realistically, what are my steps to making this a reality?
Also, what are some good programs out here in SoCal? Info is SCARCE on the web..

Thanks
Do NOT go there. If you're male/female/trans, you WILL get raped. Same goes for my country and other Asian and African countries.
This only applies if you're white, though. If you're a nig, you're good to go

But don't bump your thread more than once every 6 hours, /trv/ is a slow board.

Do you know passable Spanish? Go teach some Sudacas. Being able to speak in their language would make teaching a lot less frustrating.
